I Love ~ Lorac Pro Palette

Salam and happy Friday all,

I just received my pre-ordered item which is the infamous Lorac Pro Palette which is not available in our local stores currently. I bought it from an insta seller for RM200++ which later i found out that there are other sellers selling it for a far cheaper price. *sigh. girls please do some research before deciding on any pre-order.FYI, this is my 1st purchase from insta seller too so yeah, lesson learned. Anyway, let;s proceed to the pics :

* It comes in a box which double the size of the actual palette hahaha

* see, i told you the palette is half the size

 * the eyeshadows are soo pretty, comes with 8 matte and 8 shimmery shades. Those colours are highly pigmented.

* Behind the box, there are tips how on you can play around with the eyeshadows. Useful for a beginner like me!

* at the side of the box, you can see the list of ingredients just in case you are wondering what those eyeshadows are made of.

I'll share some looks using this palette soon! insyaAllah

Mini Sephora Haul ~ Paradigm Mall

Assalamualaikum all,

When I was in KL, I took the opportunity to visit Paradigm Mall since I never been there before. *face palm. The mall was pretty crowded as it was weekend. Nothing really attracted my attention until I saw some black and white stripes from the corner of my eyes and when I turned my back, there it was.... SEPHORA *oh yeahh. It's not like there;s no Sephora in Penang but you know, you never know what you will find in other Sephora outlet hahahaha. *sorry hubby.

I managed to refrain myself from putting more 'WANT' items into the basket. Below are the items that I bought :

* i can stare at this pic all day long

* this is my 2nd bottle of Shiseido Sun Protector. I've been loving this stuff so much as I did see that my acne scar are lightened which normal sunscreen will tend to make it darker thanks to the UV rays. It claims that It can be used as primer which I doubt so. Another plus point is, this sunscreen does not makes my skin oilier and it's easy to spread. One bottle can lasts about 3-4 months as I use it daily. The texture is very light and surprisingly it does not make me look greyish.

* This is my 1st ever setting spray. I want to familiarize myself with this spray before I splurge on the MAC Fix+ which I tried during my makeup class.

* My 1st ever TARTE purchase. This is a mineral that provide powder-to-cream coverage. It's recommended to apply it using the Airbuki brush which I did not bought so I use my Real Technique Buffing brush instead.

Have you ever tried any mineral makeup? I will have a dedicated post on my journey with mineral makeup.

Hi Friday

Oh Friday, I always love you more than Monday!

What i ve learnt from the Makeup Class- Makeup 101

Assalamualaikum Luvlies,

As per my previous, I have attended makeup classes last Sunday and Monday. It was fun and I really enjoyed myself. So many tricks and tips that I need to practice on myself and others. I never thought that drawing your own eyebrows  can be soooo hard *sigh.

Below are some important tips that I would like to share with you guys :
1- Always start with the eye makeup 1st, as you don't want to smudge your base makeup if there is any eyeshadow fallouts
2- Draw your eyebrow, all MUA admits that this part is the trickiest and more time consuming. You can 1st start by lining your eyebrow using eyebrow pencil and fill in. You can either use concealer to clean up the stray hair especially for those that did not trim their eyebrow *I'm raising my hand. Use the eyebrow mascara/gel to hold hair into position. Finally use the eyeshadow to set the eyebrow. p/s : I told you it's not easy hahahahaha *evil laugh
3- For eyeshadow, start by applying the transition colour (neutral/2nd lightest colour in palette) to the crease area, apply shimmer/satin shade to overall eyelid and choose the darkest shade for the outer V. Blend..blend..blendddd.
4- Contouring is important in order to create more definition and shape your face.
5- There are 2 ways on how to contour :
a- using 2 shades of foundation - 1 darker shade and one lighter/actual      shade
b- using contour colour after finishing your base/foundation <- this step will only require 1 shade foundation
6- Apply the corrector if required. Then apply the concealer starting with the under eyes, draw V shape pointing downwards, smile lines, 4 lines between the eyebrows and nose line. Note : always choose concealer that is lighter than your base/foundation. Blend..Blendd..Blendddd
7- Wait for the wet makeup to dry *important
8- Do final check to ensure all blemishes/spots are concealed before applying any setting/loose powder
9- Dab the fluffy puff into setting/loose powder and press into the skin.
10- Apply the bronzer to the sides of the face follow by blusher
11- Blusher has to be applied above the contour line as we still want the line to peek through
12- Apply highlighter in V motion
13- Contour your nose and makes it look 'natural'
14- Use the setting spray
15- Take a few steps back and look at the mirror.

NOTE : ALWAYS APPLY WET MAKEUP 1ST AND LET IT DRY BEFORE MOVING TO THE NEXT STEP.

*spot me hahaha. One of the MUA was doing a demo

That's it.

Tadaa~

Al-Fatihah buat Ami Schaheera

I knew Ami from her blog and through her InstaShop which offers pre-order from US based website, iHerb.com. I even received my last order, a day before she passed away. :(

She was a great person with strong heart, really an inspiration for myself.

You can read her cancer fighting journey and learn how amazing she was. You can also  see that she has touched so many hearts. Subhanallah.

Jom sedekahkan al-Fatihah buat arwah. Semoga ditempatkan di kalangan orang beriman,

Review : Zoeva Concealer Buffer Brush

Assalamualaikum everyone,

I would like to do a review on my recently bought concealer brush from the brand ZOEVA (refer to my previous post) . It comes with synthetics bristles which is of course animal cruelty free. This is also my 1st concealer brush ladies *ya, i'm sad like that i know hahahaha.

I am still at the 'infant stage' when it comes to makeup.BUTTT, i have signed up for a Basic makeup class this 30th March and Professional Class on 31st March. So yeah, i hope i can achieve the Professional status soon.*clap to self

Wish me luck and pray for my success ya. p/s : I have few volunteers that willing to be my models. *hi colleagues. love you guys big time hahahaha.

Will share their pics insyaAllah.

Ok back to the brush, this awesome brush really changed on how i apply my concealer. It gives a natural finish and more even application especially at the under eyes areas. As of now, no streaky incident happened yet. The bristles are really soft and it's quite dense.

How i use it? I dab the brush into my concealer pot and apply it directly to the areas that require extra coverage. i apply it in dabbing motion using the brush and blend it afterwards. This brush is so soft that you can even use it on your painful acne.

These are the pics of the said brush.

Haul from Luxola Pop-Up Sale

Hi Peeps,

Ahhh.I'm smiling from ear to ear now.

My 2nd parcel has ARRIVED!!!

I bought few makeup items during Luxola Pop Up Sale. The event was opened for 2-Hour only and, all sale items were given 25% discount. To prepare myself for the upcoming makeup classes, i have grabbed few makeup brushes from Zoeva and Sigma and of course i could not miss the infamous Beauty Blender Pro and Zoeva Sun Power Palette which comprises gorgeous blushes that suits all skin tones.

For those that never heard of brand called ZOEVA, they are quite famous for the makeup brushes. Below are some information taken from their website.

"ZOEVA was founded in 2008 by the owner Zoe Boikou in Germany. Since the beginning, every ZOEVA product is designed by her passion for makeup and professional makeup tools. The brand name ZOEVA is a composition of ZOE, the Greek word for „life“ and EVA, the very first woman.

It all started with the brushes...

The first product range consisted of only ten makeup brushes. In 2009, we already shipped our products to a lot of european countries, especially Italy and Spain. In 2010, the first makeup products and more makeup tools were added to the ZOEVA product range. Since 2011, the ZOEVA headquarter is located near Frankfurt, Germany, close to the vibrant, cosmopolitan city but also not too far from various options to retreat in pure nature."
